Information We Collect
Unswipe is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal data to provide our service:
- App Usage Data: We use Apple's Screen Time API to monitor and manage access to shopping apps you select. This data stays on your device.
- Preferences: Your settings, goals, and blocked apps are stored locally on your device using Apple's App Groups.
- Analytics (Optional): If you opt-in, we may collect anonymized usage statistics to improve the app.
What We Don't Collect
- We do NOT collect your personal identification information
- We do NOT track your browsing history
- We do NOT access your purchase history or financial data
- We do NOT sell or share your data with third parties
Data Storage
All your data is stored locally on your device. We do not maintain external servers that store your personal information. Your settings sync through iCloud if you have it enabled, which is managed by Apple's privacy policies.
Screen Time API
Unswipe uses Apple's Family Controls and Screen Time APIs to:
- Display shield screens when you open selected shopping apps
- Track interception events (stored locally)
- Manage app blocking schedules
This functionality requires your explicit authorization and can be revoked at any time in your device settings.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, we send weekly summaries of your savings. Notification preferences can be changed in the app or your device settings.
Children's Privacy
Unswipe is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years of age.
